Kevin had handled my divorce and not once did I feel he was looking out for my best interest. I could have settled without a lawyer by reading the Florida Law on the internet. My Ex's and her lawyer continued to accuse me of false accusations, I had to pay for the correspondences and it wasn't until I told Kevin I was tired of being harassed, he then pushed back. The day of the divorce while waiting for the judge, Kevin was extremely friendly to my ex's council while in previous meetings to told me he didn't care to speak with her and didn't agree with her legal tactics. This was very confusing message to me, I felt betrayed. The settlement was a joke and left me with a legal gun to my head and I can not retire anytime soon because of the large permanent alimony and life insurance policy that I was advised to settle. In order for me to retire I will need to partition while paying additional legal fees. That was not made clear during the settlement negotiations.

Kevin represented me in a three year post supplemental battle with my extremely litigious ex whom tried to gain full custody and milk every dollar out of me she could including paying for her attorney fees. She played every angle possible claiming abuse, attempted to manipulate doctors and therapists, defamation of myself and new wife, injunction orders, etc. If you can think of it....she did it...and then more. Prior to hiring Kevin the odds seemed stacked against me and court hearings were definitely not going in my favor. Once Kevin was on the case the tables completely turned. He was amazing in aggressively defending my position within the law and effective in bringing to the surface the games my ex wife was playing and her manipulation of the family court system. All said and done I never lost a hearing after hiring Kevin and, even better, the numerous motions filed by my Ex were all DENIED!!! Not to sound like a broken record but it is imperative to point out that judge number three made it a point to say and commend Attorney Astl on his preparedness, execution of documents and his courtroom style in our hearing. I cannot say enough wonderful things about him. He is truly warrior knight to his craft and we consider ourselves extremely lucky to have engaged his services.
