Larry S. Hersch was raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and in New Jersey. After graduation from high school, he attended college at Temple University in Philadelphia for his freshman year, and graduated cum laude from Oglethorpe University in Atlanta, Georgia in 1972. He then attended Stetson University of Law, from which he graduated in 1975. At that time, during his law school matriculation, Larry worked for Legal Aid Services in St. Petersburg, Florida, as well as clerked for attorneys Pope and Henniger.Upon graduation from law school in 1975, Larry came to Dade City, Florida. He practiced from 1975 through December of 1976 with the law firm of Larkin, Larkin & Waller which, at the time of his departure, was known as Larkin, Larkin, Waller & Hersch. In 1977, a new partnership was formed and was known as Waller & Hersch, at which he worked from 1977 and until August of 1988. Larry then established Larry S. Hersch, Esq.,P.A., his own firm. Larry has his main office headquartered in Dade City, and a satellite office located in Zephyrhills, Florida.
Larry has been a licensed real estate title agent for The Fund since 1977.
A significant portion of Larry’s early practice was devoted to criminal defense, having done multiple murder one litigation, as well as family law and general practice. The firm now specializes in the legal areas of personal injury, family law, contract law, real estate law, and all forms of civil and criminal litigation. Larry has obtained millions of dollars in both trial and settlements for his personal injury clients.
Larry was on the founding Board of Directors of Community National Bank of Pasco County in 1989, and served on that Board for 25 years. That Bank, as well as its affiliates, are now known as CenterState Bank, NA, and is the largest Florida-based community bank, with branches in 44 counties throughout Florida, Georgia and Alabama. During that period of time, Larry was the Bank’s attorney, and still does legal work for the bank.
Larry was certified as a Supreme Court Certified Mediator in 1989 in civil and family litigation. He has been Certified ever since that time, and does high—conflict mediations in all counties in the State of Florida.
Larry also enjoys playing music and is involved with local musical groups. In addition, he owns and operates Kafe Kokopelli Restaurant in Dade City, Florida, which specializes in new American cuisine.
