When a loved one passes and leaves behind possessions, the Court's must often be involved to determine the rightful ownership of those items. If your loved one had a valid last will, the Court will likely consider that as evidence as to who those possessions should be given.

Guardianship 25%

Guardianships most commonly arise in two circumstances: 1) an elderly family member has lost their capacity to take care of themselves and the Court needs to appoint someone to do so, or 2) a family member or loved one is struggling with psychological challenges to the extent they need assistance protecting their person or property. Guardianships may be opened on an emergency temporary basis and/or a more permanent basis. (Other types can include Guardianships for Minors or Guardian Advocates)
