Age discrimination
I feel I was discriminated against by age for a job opening at a Fortune 500 company. I filed a complaint with the EEOC. What outcome could I expect through mediation?
Re: Age discrimination
Mediation is a non-binding settlement conference, which may or may not result in a favorable settlement for you. If you are not satisfied with the offer made by the Company at Mediation, you may be entitled to file a lawsuit in federal court against the company. Should you wish to discuss this matter in greater detail, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Re: Age discrimination
Realistically? Nothing, unless you take the legal challenge seriously, gather all the evidence necessary to win a lawsuit on the issues, present it effectively, etc. If you're capable of doing so, you likely wouldn't have needed to ask the question. Generally, people hire experienced attorneys to conduct lawsuits. Mediation is just a variation of lawsuit, if you want to 'win' and get a positive outcome. The other side will have an attorney, shouldn't you? If this is in SoCal, and if this a valid case with evidence to support it, feel free to contact me if serious about doing so.
