Allowing a child to participate in little league without parents consent

i found out my sons father signed him up for little league without my permission. I called the little league and told them i did not want him to play and that i am the custodial parent with all decisions be made only by me. They assured me he would not play but behind my back let him play anyway. Can i sue for going against my right as a parent?

Re: Allowing a child to participate in little league without parents consent

Why would you not want the child to play in little league? Does he have a physical infirmity? Religious reasons? Does he have too many activities that it affects his grades? Does the child not want to play baseball?

As a custodial parent, you have to look at the best interest of the child. Unless there are other factors, playing baseball is a postive, beneficial activity.

If you sue little league, the company may seek indemnification from the father for any damages it pays to you. Ultimately you may end up in Family Court if the father takes exception to your decision to hurt the child as a method of punishing the father.
