Change in terms of agreed and signed contract

Last thursday I bought a car from a reputable dealer and agreed to and signed a contract for 60 months. I just received a call from the finance depatment of that dealer informing me that I have to resign a new contract because of my credit. I entered into this deal in hopes of fixing my credit. Am I obligated by law to resign?

Re: Change in terms of agreed and signed contract

No. You could walk away from the deal. I hope you haven't traded in your vehicle because now you will have to tell them to get it back for you. Don't give up your vehicle until you have your trade-in back.
