construction
We had hired a contractor and he gave us his bid for work. half way through this project he went over cost again and gave us a new price sheet for $30 thousand more. Can he do this? We hired him because of his bid, and now he tells us we owe him more money. Plus he added more money onto labor. Is this right!!

The real question is whether there was a contract to perform. Was there a written agreement? Did you sign a proposal to create an agreement?
