contract
We signed contract to have kitchen remodeled and gave $10,000 deposit. Contractor hit on my wife while I was not there prior to work commencing. I told the contrator that we no longer wanted to do business with him. I want my $10,000 deposit back but contrator thus far has not complied. Am I entitled to get the full deposit back?

It would depend on the language in the contract. However, generally, if no work was performed and materials purchased, you would be entitled to the return of your deposit.
