Custody/Child-Related Question
My ex and I recently split up, we also have 3 children together. She is now dating a known sex offender with Aggrivated Criminal Sexual Abuse/Victim 13-16, and his status on the registry is Sexual Predator. Is there any laws that would allow me to prevent this, or furthermore attain custody of my children to keep them from being around him?

Hello. Yes, you definitely have remedies for this very serious matter.
If you plan on filing for divorce, now is the time. You may also want to file a report with or call DCFS.
Also, if this man is around your children, you should make a police report and then take the report to the Office of the State's Attorney for your county. I will be happy to discuss this further and in more detail.
