florida divorce
my husband cheated on me, he admitted to another but will probably deny it in court. he has requested a divorce, tho has not yet served any legal papers. we have been married since Feb 2007. we did not sign a prenuptial. i am 25 and he is 38. i worked part time, went to school part time (the 1st semester i paid for, the 2nd one he paid for), helped raise his teenage boy and watched his 3 kids during many of his monthly 7-16 day business trips out of town. he says that per Florida law i am not entitled to anything (tho his businesses have xpanded & he has acquired new branches and more stock) in fact he says that i owe 1/2 of all of his credit card debt as he put my name on the accounts. are the above statements true, that i am entitled to nothing and indeed have to pay 1/2 of his debts that have both of our names on it?

Some of the questions you ask depend on the determination of the debt being marital or the husbands debt and you probably get some compensation from him for helping his business.
