general durable power of attorney

MY daughter lived in fl. all her life then she had a warrant foe her arrest so she moved to alabama were she rented a home and lived at with her boy friend both were on the lease. Now they are both back in florida in jail i need to go get her personal property out of the home will a general durable power of attorney notarized be sufficient enough or what will i need to do so there will be problems so it won't be a waisted trip?

A general durable power of attorney should work, but it would be better if you got a specific power of attorney which says it's okay for you to pick up and remove her stuff. If the property is in Alabama, you may want to ask an Alabama lawyer this question.
