Yes, but the gift is subject to a several year look-back, which means that if you go into the nursing hime shortly after making the gift, and depending upon the size of the gift, you are ineligible for Medicaid benefits for up to 60 months or more. More information is needed to provide more than a general response. I suggest you contact an elder law attorney, and give that person more specific information.
