House Painting Verbal Agreement
I have paid someone to complete the painting of my house,there was no contract only a verbal agreement, theu did not finish, do I have any legal recouse

Yes, you could sue this someone in small claims court for your damages(up to 5K), but you will need to prove the existence of the oral contract and the defendant's breach of it in order to prevail.
