Judgment

I recently had a judgment put against me by a credit card company for the amount of $10,000. I own nothing, my home is in foreclosure, I have a loan on my car and have no checking or savings accounts and I am currently unemployed.

My question is what do I need to do to eliminate this judgment and how long does it take to clear my credit?

I asked the credit card attorney for accounting ledgers under Pa. Civil Discovery laws and to date all they provided me were the statements.

Re: Judgment

You asked about ridding yourself of a pesky judgment.

Judgments don't go away. They stay around for years unless paid. they eventually expire but can easily be renewed by whoever is the holder.

Once a debt has gone to judgment there are only two ways to get out from under it. Pay it off or have it discharged in bankruptcy.

Regards,

Roger
