Okay so I recently got my ex pregnant (while we were dating) and over the course of the last three months its gotten down to the point where I want nothing to do with her or socialize with her. However, my concern is is child support. If she tries to go for it, how would it work if I make a gross income of around $800 a month working fast food while she gets a gaurunteed $4000 a month from her father's death, and will continue to recieve this until she is 95 I believe, not to mention gross payouts of around 100,000+ every 4-5 years.
Also, I live in Missouri and she lives in Illinois, two different jurisdictions.
I am curious if any judge in their right mind would allow such a thing to happen, and not to mention court costs and lawyers fees, if there is grounds for me to demand she pay for those fees.
Child support payments are computed on the father's and mother's income and the amount that will be required to support the child. The court will determine the amount each parent will contribute to the support of the child. The formula that is generally used is based or a proportional amount from each parents income. For example, if the mother makes $100,000 in annual income and the father makes $30,000 in annual income, the mother is likely to pay a grater share than the father.
