Power of Attorney

Can there be more than one Attorney in fact listed on a POA for someone. With the duties of one only to be able to write checks to pay bills and the other for all other purposes?

Re: Power of Attorney

You asked if there can be more than one attorney in fact named.

It is not only allowed but is very good practice. Neither person should have control over both part of transactions and in fact each should have compartmentalized authority. One person decides who gets paid and how much and the other person writes the checks and manages the bank account. It would be even be advisable that they are required to oversee each others work.

Regards,

Roger
