Power of Attorney vrs durable power of Attorney
What is the difference between a Power of Attorney and a Durable Power of Attorney?
Re: Power of Attorney vrs durable power of Attorney
A durable power of attorney survives the incapacity of its principal. In other words, if the writer has a stroke and can no longer communicate, the agent (or attorney-in-fact) can still use it. Without the durable function, the standard power of attorney should no longer be effective.
