Privacy and Car insurance.
I recently purchased a vehicle and I called my insurance to update all my information. I spoke to a customer service representative, updated everything and he emailed me my updated insurance cards to my personal email address.
A day later, the same man looked me up on a social website, requesting me to be a friend. My personal email is not linked to my social website's account.
Is it illegal for an insurance agent or customer service representative to look you up on a social website? Is it not an invasion of privacy or a breach in the confidentiality agreement?
Thank you.
Re: Privacy and Car insurance.
No.
If you don't want him linked to yor social networking site, then just decline.
