Return to work

I will soon be released to return to work after being under a Drs care for heart problems. Can my employer require me to take a physical before returning to work? If so, are there any restrictions as to what areas are covered in the physical?

Re: Return to work

An employer can require independent medical exam to verify you are fully fit for work, and do not pose a risk to you or the company. They have to reasonably accommodate disabilities, but if you can't do your job without risk, they don't have to let you back. If you are denied return or accommodation, feel free to contact me for the legal help you'll need.
