Some one else's logo on my website

I am a a company that supplies Hydrogen energy. I would like to link to some general hydrogen association sites. Can I use their logo without asking them as a link to their site.

Does it make any difference if I am a member of the association?

Re: Some one else's logo on my website

Generally, you should get permission to use their logo becasue they don't know if you are using it for commercial purposes or not; use it as a way to make contact with them. If you are not a member, then make sure that the way you link does not imply that you are a member. Feel free to contact me on this if you wish; my firm focuses on Internet law.
