state tax collection
im being billed $3k+ for 06 California state taxes based on some income i did not make. only made $5k at part time work and not 88k as stated on the paper. what should i do?

You need to protest this as soon as possible. Every step in the state tax process has time deadlines. If you do not protest timely, you must pay the tax and seek a refund. Protest and appeal now.
