vacation time

I began working for this firm in Sep 2007. I am told that I will not have any vacation time until Nov 2008 at which time I will have 1 day of vacation. Is this legal?

Re: vacation time

Yes, quite legal, unless you're working under a contract of employment or collective bargaining type of agreement which provides otherwise.

In so-called employemnt at will jurisdictions such as the Commonwealth,

employers are under no legal obligation to provide their employees with either paid vacations or sick leave.
