website creation

I am a member of a website that I

believe is a good site. The only thing

is that it is a pay for use sites. I

want to create a website modeled

after the one I am a member of.

What is the legality in having a very

similar layout of the page but one I

create? Any help would be great!!

Re: website creation

Too closely modeling a work of authorship after a previously published work of authorship that someone else has developed can lead to copyright problems. The potential infringer should make sure that the new work is not substantially similar to the existing work, either in design or content.
