Re: worker comp and company buy out

You have a very serious injury and there are many options for you to consider. You should consult with an attorney immediately.

Essentially, if your doctor is of the opinion that you cannot work, you are entitled to 2/3 of your average weekly wage for the rest of your life. The insurance company would prefer to settle now rather than pay you over your life, and I expect you might wish to have a lump sum now as opposed to weekly payments the rest of your life - especially considering we all do not know what the future holds.

In its simplistic form, as attorneys, we can compute your life expectancy, get what we call a "present cash value" of the total amount of your benefits and attempt to settle the case for that amount.

I would be happy to discuss these computations with you to help you get what you would be entitled to. Please feel free to contact me via the information on this website.

Even if I do not hear from you, good luck!
