A first time DWI offense is going to carry possible jail time and substantial fines. There are number of factors to consider in this case such as possible plea agreements with the prosecution or taking the case to trial. Unlike a DWI 2nd Offense, which carries a mandatory 7 day jail sentence, a DWI 1st Offense does not carry mandatory jail time. In most cases, jail time could be avoided.
Which is a better option as far as the tax implication:
I have key man insurance where the business received the proceeds after death to then pay the estate for my shares of the business stock. OR should I have life insurance where the proceed go directly to my wife? Who and where is the higher tax consequenses?

If a landlord wants to evict a tenant, and there is NO rental agreement whatsoever, how much time does the tenant (who is permanently disabled with a prosthetic leg) have to vacate the premise? Tenant is NOT in arrears as yet .. but is considering paying ONLY $10 "toward rental amount"?
I have been told it takes approximately 6 months to evict.

My college (Davenport) is telling me I have to accept a credit card that I've repeatedly told them I do not want. It's a MasterCard called a Panther OneCard. They say that it will be my new student ID card and the only way I'll be able to get the refund money from my government loans now that they won't mail checks out. Can they really force me to accept it?
