Asset transfer after immigration
I'm now live in China, soon I will immigrate to the US (EB-5 investment immigration). Once I land in the US, I will need to transfer my existing money (more than 1 million usd, earned before immigration) from Hong Kong into the US (to buy house, cars etc), my question is do I have to pay any taxes for that? Or is there a amount upper-limit? How do I declare this money?
Property investment with parents
Three years ago my mother, step-father and myself bought the house next to me as a business investment. The intent was to fix-up the house and flip-it. It was to be a 50/50 split. My parents were to finance the deal, with myself being responsible for overseeing the rehab of the house. Paying utility bills and overseeing the property. Of course we have nothing in writing. The rehab is complete. I want to sell now and now my parents do not want to sell the home...AT ALL! They are now saying it belongs to them. All three of our names are on the title, but only my mother and step-fathers names are on the mortgage. The house is located in Florida. My question is...do I have rights and I am entitled to my portion. And what if anything can I do? What would happen if my mother dies before my step-father? I know they have a will, not sure who gets what. My step-father has two children and my moms has three (including me), not worried about our end. My step-father insists he will keep the house until he dies and doesnt care who or what happens after that.

My uncle died had no will
My uncle died in nov 05. He was down syndrome and had no will. My grandmother had willed her house to my dad and my uncle. The court system took over my uncle and appointed an executor. There was error in my grandmas will and instead of saying that my dad got her 1/2 of the house, it just said he got the house, since it was in my grandma and my uncles names, the courts said it was just my uncles. My dad tried to buy it from my uncle but the court would not allow it to go thru. Now my uncle had passed away, and the courts are saying they are going to sell the house, and my dad has to make a list of everything my uncle owned and turn over to the court so that they can sell it. There was enough money saved up to pay his last medical bills and have some left over. Does the courts get the money that was left over and what they make from selling all of his belongings? Are the family members allowed to keep anything as a memorial to him? Is my dad allowed to purchase the house from the courts? Thanks for your time and replies, they are greatly appreciated.
