If you owe rent you should pay it. Just make sure you have proof of payment, like a receipt or canceled check. If you know which attorney is handling the probate you should contact him or her to find out who to pay.
charitable trust being abused
Before she died, my brother convinced my mother to give big money to a trust he set up, in which members were to volunteer their time and be paid only for expenses. My brother is taking out a great deal in payment for ''expenses'' that are actually only for his own pleasure. He declines to provide an accounting. How can I force him to provide an accounting? (I am not a beneficiary or trustee, and apparently there are no beneficiaries) The money that he is using for his own benefit would have been in my mother's estate for me to share now, if he had not convinced her on the basis of effecively false statements of how it would be used. How can I get that money back into the estate?
