Re: Elder - Estate issue- I am 70 years old with an adjusted gross income of $1.278.00 and am receiving Medicare and Medicaid (Health Insurance only) I am NOT applying for a nursing home. I want to place my home (worth $250,000) in a trust for my daughter. No mortgage, no bills... Is there still a Medicaid look back of five years from Medicaid to collect the medicaid insurance paid to me in the past?

Yes, there is a 5 year look-back period for Medicaid/MassHealth. You should speak with a lawyer about your specific situation in order to make sure that you do not disqualify yourself from eligibility for long-term care. The transfer of your property to another person or trust for less than the fair market value within 5 years of applying for long-term care under MassHealth may result in a period of ineligibility.
