I paid in full 12/15/2016 for unrestricted stocks. Then he and I had a dispute not related to the stock. The person I bought the stocks from took his time on getting me my stock and when I did receive the stocks they were restricted. I then had to pay his lawyer $250 to get a opinion letter stating I did buy the stocks on 12/15/2016. Once I jumped through all the hoops I then presented it to the stock transfer agencies (Clear Trust) who he (the one I bought from) owns 2% of. They then in formed me everything looks good. The next business day 07/03/2017 they sent me a letter saying I owe him more money even thou his lawyer signed off on it. His lawyer and Clear Trust and him are going to steal my stock that has my name on it.
I agree with Attorney Thorgaard. You need a lawyer to assist you. Search for an attorney who handles securities type cases in your area.
You need the services of an attorney who works for you, not the other party. I don't know why you were required to pay the other party's attorney, but it may be something in the contract. Your attorney can review the whole matter and advise you.
