I am moving to Florida from New York and will become a resident in the fall of 2007. Is the Will that I created in New York legal in Florida or must I draw up a new one?

Drug and Alcohol Policy

We were given a policy that says some of the usual stuff, but also says things like ''the city reserves the right to search me, my personal effects, my vehicle, my desk, my purse'' essentially just because. Do they not have to have some sort of reasonable suspicion to conduct such a search? Also, if I refuse to sign this paper labeled ''Acknowledgment and AGREEMENT'', what are the possible ramifications? I don't want to sign that I agree with this when I do not agree with most of it.

We had an administrative hearing in Florida Pro-se. However, we thought we were successful after giving strong testimony etc. We were approved and later dis-approved by the manager once she learned we were section-8 applicants. The manager thwarted our chances of renting and told us that we were not income qualified, but told the courts that we just walked away from our deposit /application fee, and changed our minds and that she had no further contact with us. However, during the cross-exam the Respondant ''mistakenly'' said that we frequented the property ''OFTEN.'' However,the biggest mistake we made was not examining or objecting to their exhibits. The manager wrote on a plain piece of white paper that section-8 denied our apt. The second exhibit was a faxed copy of a guarantor letter issued by my sister. This manager ''whited'' out the actual date it was submitted so it would appear that we had no further contact with her, therefore appearing to be no repeated acts of discrimination. We know doubtley the Judge was biased. Moreover, the attorney decided to mail us the Judge's decision before he could sign it. Can we offer new evidence in the appeal process, if not, object to her tailored exhibits or have a evidentiary hearing?

NY Warrant

I had a court date scheduled for this past Friday in prct10/Manhattan for an administrative code violation 10-133c (although ticket lists it as 10-333c, and I can't find that subsection?). My Grandmother died that morning and I got tied up with that. I called the court offices repeatedly all day and could not reach an appropriate person until 3pm. At that point I was informed that the judge was already gone and that a warrant (bench, I assume) had been issued. I was also told that I could come in on Monday to get the warrant vacated.

Now, is that something I can handle directly or might I run into problems (read: arrest and/or bail) if I show up at 9am on Monday? Does anyone know what the typical procedure is or whom I should talk to right away (PD or prosecuter)?

I have no record, not even parking or traffic tickets. Hell, I've never even been arrested. Should I be sweating this or should it be straight forward?

Employer stealing money from savings account

My friend recently quit working for a Franchise in Arlington, TX after she had to give them her bank account information twice and ended up never being paid for the hours she worked. In addition to that, they asked for her savings account # and today $150 was missing from it and someone purchased an online video game. Please let me know if there is anything my friend can do to recoup her loses. She is only 17, by the way, and it seems that she was totally taken advantage of in this situation.

West Virginia Auto Title Reassignment

WV requires an out of state title to be signed by a notary. The car dealer did not have the title signed by a notary when he purchased the car. He refuses to do so now. I cannot get a title. What can be done?
