my friends owe me money for a bedroom set it's been 7 months only paid me $200 still owe me $1,000 now they say they are not going to pay me and they won.t let me go and get my bedroom set either. My question is if I call the police will they meet me over there so I can pick up my bedroom set

desperate father wants to see his son

my grandsons mother is always making up excuses as to why he cannot see his child. her mother is always undermining my son and tells him that he better get use to the idea, she has also told me that this is her daughters child and whatever she says goes. he has filed paternity papers and if the child is his he is planning on going to court to get parenting time and joint custody. his son is almost 2 months old and has been in his life since before birth up until now. his ex's mother is very controlling and thinks that this is her child. my son needs advice desperately and every day that goes by he misses his son even more. i have almost begged her to see my grandson and she always come up with every excuse you can name, my son is a wonderful person who works and attend school and want to provide for his son. he doesn't want to go back to the mothers huse to see the child because they start attacking him because he wants to babysit while she works and the grandmother says no and starts to undermine him and call him a bunch of names because he wants to take care of his son. i truly belive that this 68 year old woman is jealous because i would be the biological grandmother and she is just the adoptive foster mother.

Property law

I was having my truck worked on at a local dealer. A con man entered the service shop passing himself off as a paint and body guy, then talked the service department out of the keys to my truck. 5 weeks later the truck was found with some stuff stripped out of it and dinged up. I am told the dealers insurance company is paying for the repairs and my property that was in the truck. I looked in on the truck last week and found the dealer is using parts from a local salvage yard (gas tank, steering column). The dealer has had my car for 8 days now and the only repairs they have made is to replace the steering column. I want new parts, money for my personal property, my truck detailed, a 1 year-no deductible-nationwide warranty, and the money back for two months of truck payments while my car was not in my possession. The dealer has had me in a rental since my truck went in but it's a small, cheap car that doesn't fit my needs. The owner of the business and service manager has never called me first person. I was the one to initiate the meetings, the talks, the phone calls to find out about my truck, the status of repairs, and I have yet to hear back on the coverage I want. What type of attorney do I need should this turn into a cause

ended a relationship, live in, not married,says he going to sue me for repairs around the house, any money he paid his friends to paint,or any other work. i did pay for most of the materials, and also paid his friends, he came and took a ring with a value or 4,500, he had given me and other gifts. does he have a case. says he invested money in my house and wants it back.

Money market acct/ Bond inheritence transfer

I have recently inherited a money market account and bonds from my mother. I am listed as the beneficiary and I have also sent 2 copies of the death certificate to the company which hold these. My representative has not responded to several emails I�ve sent. These were sent 4 or 5 days apart asking for information. They would not even tell me how the Death Certificate should be delivered, faxed, Certified mail or whatever. I know they can receive my emails since they did reply to one when my mother first passed away last month. Can you tell me what a reasonable time frame would be to transfer this account to my name or at least for them to reply back to me? I would also like to get a ball park figure if possible for a local attorney to handle this case. I�m open to traveling to Riverside, Temecula, Hemet and surrounding areas. Thank you

promisary not to pay back debts

I recently let my ex boyfriend borrow $580.00. I made him sign a promisary note or an ''iou'' for 400.00 of the money. does this cover me legally in getting this money back? I heard that if hes made to pay the money back, that he would have to pay all my legal fees as well. Is that true? I appreciate your time!

i rented a house and within 2 days i discovered it had it had a terrible plumbing prolbem. long story short i sued in small claims because she refuse to return my first and deposit. that was 3 yrs ago. she totally refuses to pay me. i was told that i can't take her to court again.i have liens on property. i really need the money now .i am unemployed with 3 children. my unemployment has just run out. she owns her own insurance company. i don't understand why she won't pay. is there anythiing else that i can do.

I have pending arbitration with a lawyer in CA over fees and was recently served by mail. I don't have much legal knowledge and am confused about what I received. It was a single sheet of paper titled "Proof of Service" but nothing else was in the packet. It just says it was sent by mail and it was signed, but says little else. Can you help?
