We are a military family that were in the process of purchasing our first home when my husband returned from his deployment overseas ~2yrs ago. We made an offer on a home that was contingent upon his orders to that location. Unfortunately, his orders did not arrive prior to the ending date of the contingency of the offer on our home. We asked to extend the offer, they denied. Following this we received a letter on company letterhead from the real estate broker (from probably the #1 real estate company in the nation) slandering not only my husband and his service, but his executive officer. This letter was also mailed to the executive officer. We then contacted this broker's manager regarding our concerns, and were told that she acted out of frustration because she was not making a sale. The letter truely speaks for itself, and many disturbing issues that need to be addressed. What type of lawyer would we contact? The entire situation has almost been unbelievable to us, but yet a tragic reality. Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

My husband popped on a drug test and although this is probably said a lot it wasn't his fault. He ate some food containing pot and he wasn't aware. The person that had the food was going to testify for him at CM if needed and later at the adsep board after the CM was dropped. His whole command had his back. This was over a year ago. His lawyer stopped answering his calls or calling him, the adsep board isn't even pending nor was it ever scheduled, and his command told him when his eas date comes he will get out with an honorable. His eas is now in 3 weeks and today he was called into regiment and told if he didn't take the other than honorable discharge he would be placed on legal hold awaiting adsep board. Is this possible if his adsep board isn't even pending? Or if it isn't even pending when his eas rolls around? Is this even possible at all?
