Anne L. Weintraub received her Juris Doctorate from Stetson University College of Law in 2003 and was admitted to the Florida Bar in 2004. She is the founder of Sarasota-based Anne Weintraub, P.A. and in April of 2014, Temple Sinai of Sarasota awarded Anne its first Humanitarian of the Year award.
Anne's practice focus is real property closings, title insurance and foreclosure avoidance. She issues title insurance for buyers, sellers and lenders on properties located throughout the entire State of Florida. She assists clients with short sales, deeds-in-lieu of foreclosure, purchasing bank-owned properties and negotiations with lenders.
Anne was named one of Tampa Bay's
"Top 25 People to Watch" in 2013 by the Tampa Bay Business Journal. She is a frequent speaker at public forums on the subject of real estate, and appeared weekly for years on WWSB ABC-7 News on "Real Estate Talk with Anne Weintraub."
In 2008, Anne was instrumental in implementing Circuit Court Chief Judge Lee Haworth's precedent-setting Homestead Conciliatory Program, which requires lenders to attempt to meet and speak with homeowners before proceeding with foreclosure. She was the author of the Homestead Conciliatory Consumer Handbook for the 12th Judicial Circuit, and recorded video information about the program for the benefit of homeowners in Sarasota, Manatee and Charlotte Counties.
Away from work, Ms. Weintraub serves on several boards, including Stetson University College of Law Board of Overseers; Campus Board for USF Sarasota-Manatee; Boys and Girls Clubs of Sarasota County and The Joshua Chapnick Epilepsy Endowment Fund. She is also Past Chair of the Sarasota Association of Realtors, as well as the Sarasota County Bar Association's Realtor/Attorney Joint Committee.
