I practice in all areas of commercial and corporate litigation, with extensive experience in employment litigation. I have litigated cases at all stages and in all types of forums—including administrative proceedings before government agencies, injunction hearings, bench trials and jury trials in state and federal courts, and final arbitration hearings. I have litigated cases in a number of jurisdictions beyond Florida, including California, Colorado, Georgia, New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts, and in London, Vienna, Buenos Aires, and Tokyo. I strive to implement strategies designed to achieve the client’s desired results—whether early resolution, aggressive litigation, or resolution by trial. I am rated “AV” by Martindale-Hubbell, its highest rating.
In the employment law area, I regularly represent employers in investigating and defending Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) charges of discrimination and lawsuits alleging discrimination, harassment, and retaliation, collective and class actions alleging wage and overtime violations, and Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) violations, among others. My experience also includes reviewing employment agreements, severance agreements, and other contractual arrangements for executives and other highly skilled employees, auditing employment practices, counseling on workplace issues, and drafting and reviewing comprehensive employment policy manuals to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws.
My commercial and corporate litigation experience includes representing individuals and corporations in commercial contract disputes involving asset purchase agreements, service agreements, business contracts, or broker agreements; representing owners and contractors in construction litigation; representing corporations and boards of directors in shareholder disputes and securities litigation; and defending products liability claims.
