I am a criminal defense lawyer.
I was sworn in to practice law immediately before defending an evidence tampering jury trial in September, 1992. I started my career as an Assistant Public Defender. Cases have not slowed down and I continue defending people from all walks of life from charges involving sex, drugs and violence. My trials have ranged from simple assault to murder, with an occasional lap-dancing violation along the way. I have tried criminal cases in Florida and Federal Court and have argued cases before the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals in Atlanta, Georgia.
I am a Life member in the NACDL And FACDL, which means that criminal defense is a career dedication.
I have had the Honor of working for the Office of the Public Defender and have learned as an associate, before opening up my solo practice in July, 2000.

September 24, 1992, I was sworn in to practice law immediately before defending an evidence tampering jury trial. Things have not slowed down and I have been defending people from all walks of life from charges involving sex, drugs and violence ever since. My trials have ranged from simple assault to murder, with an occasional lap-dancing violation along the way. I had the Honor of working for the Pensacola Office of the Public Defender and as an associate before opening my own office.
I go to court. There I fight /litigate criminal charges in Florida and Federal Court. In Florida courts I also fight Domestic Violence Injunctions and related family law issues .
Crimes characterized as "domestic violence" have many mandatory requirements like counseling. Persons alleged to have committed crimes of domestic violence are given no bond upon their arrest and none until they appear before a judge, usually the next day. Injunction lawyer Chris Rabby has experience representing individuals with Florida Domestic, Repeat Violence, Sexual Violence and Dating Violence injunctions. An injunction can remove you from your own home and restrict your gun rights.
Most Federal criminal prosecutions are charged as conspiracy cases. A conspiracy is an agreement to violate the law, which can involve allegations of drug trafficking, firearms, violence and schemes to defraud banks, individuals or the government. A person can be charged with a conspiracy even if they are a minimal participant and do not know the full nature and extent of the scheme. My Federal trials have ranged from drug and firearms offenses to money laundering and bank fraud.
Many times criminal charges are brought to gain an advantage in a family law matter. You need an attorney that knows how these laws and cases relate to each other.
