He attended Nova Southeastern University, Shepard Broad Law Center, where he received his Juris Doctorate, summa cum laude, graduating in the top 5% of his class. While in law school, he served as the Executive Editor of Nova Law Review, Volume 34, and was a recipient of the Nova Merit Scholarship. Mr. Minko also received Book Awards for obtaining the Highest Grade in Constitutional Law and Advanced Legal Research.
