Doreen Yaffa is one of a handful of divorce attorneys in South Florida who is Board Certified in Marital and Family Law. To earn a designation “Board Certified,” an attorney must complete a complex battery of tests and training. Only six percent of eligible Florida bar members are Board Certified. Per the Florida Bar: “Board certification recognizes attorneys’ special knowledge, skills and proficiency in various areas of law and professionalism and ethics in practice. Board certified lawyers are Evaluated for Professionalism and Tested for Expertise. Certification is The Florida Bar’s highest level of evaluation of the competency and experience of attorneys in the 24 areas of law approved for certification by the Supreme Court of Florida.”
Ms. Yaffa has received an AV Preeminent rating from Martindale-Hubbell — as judged by her legal peers — in both “legal ability” and “ethical standards. “She is a member of the Palm Beach County Bar Association as well as the Florida Association of Women Lawyers. Ms. Yaffa is licensed to practice before the Florida and U.S. District Courts and the Southern District of Florida. As one of South’s Florida’s most seasoned divorce attorneys, Ms. Yaffa has diverse trial experience, and she has handled numerous complex, high profile cases.
In addition to being a detailed oriented legal scholar and fierce advocate for her clients, Ms. Yaffa also believes in a compassionate, empathetic approach to family law.
