I am a Board-certified civil trial attorney practicing in Jacksonville, Florida, for over 40 years. My experience has been in trial work, first as a prosecutor for several years and then in private practice. I initially worked as an insurance defense attorney after leaving the State Attorney's Office and then transitioned to represent plaintiffs, i.e., injured parties or the families of individuals who died in accidents or as a result of medical negligence.
My practice is client-centric. Together with two other experienced attorneys and a dedicated staff, we are focused on results and maximizing our client's recovery within the justice system.
I have taught at the law school level for 14 semesters, primarily in courses relating to Florida Practice and Procedure. I have also lectured extensively and had 22 publications of articles relating to personal injury, wrongful death, medical malpractice and civil trial law.
In addition to my litigation practice, I also represent clients, including individuals and businessses, in the areas of asset protection, lender liability (wealth management) and cybersecurity. This last category includes identity theft issues, and compensation for losses due to breaches of cybersecurity.
