With more than 40 years of experience, Gordon James III is a Florida Bar Board Certified Specialist in Civil Trial law. Mr. James has handled high-risk cases and regional litigation management in commercial, drug & medical device and product liability cases. He is often called upon to hire and manage local counsel in other states, to assist in developing trial strategies for use across the country, and to assist in high-risk trials in other states or regions.
Mr. James has received numerous recognitions for his legal work, including receiving an AV Preeminent rating from Martindale-Hubbell, being named among the Best Lawyers in America by U.S. News & World Report, Florida Legal Elite by Florida Trend magazine, Florida Super Lawyers by Super Lawyers magazine, and Florida’s Top Lawyers by Florida Monthly.
An active member of the legal community, Mr. James is a member of the Broward County Association and is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers and the American Bar Foundation. He also serves on the Board of Governors of Nova Southeastern University’s Shepard Broad Law Center, and has previously served as president of the Broward County Division of the American Board of Trial Advocates, as president of the Florida Defense Lawyers Association, as chairman of the editorial board of Trial Advocate Quarterly, and in the Broward County Guardian Ad Litem program.
Additionally, Mr. James previously served as a captain in the U.S. Army Reserves, Military Intelligence branch.
