Attorney Jason Goldstein is a trial attorney whose practice focuses primarily on family law, civil litigation, business/employment, and criminal law.
Jason has significant experience in all phases of civil litigation, including business, collection and employment matters. He zealously advocates for his clients in all stages of each case in his multifaceted practice (from the drafting of initial pleadings through the negotiation/mediation stages and ultimately at trial, if deemed necessary).
The La Crosse Family Court Commissioner’s office has often asked Jason to educate individuals in the process of divorce in its Families First classes. Additionally, Jason has served as guardian ad litem for children and as a court-appointed guardian ad litem and as adversary counsel in guardianship and protective placement proceedings involving adults.
Jason has litigated a multitude of cases involving family law matters such as divorce, paternity, child custody, physical placement, child support, maintenance (alimony), property division, prenuptial agreements, and a myriad of post-divorce related matters. His extensive knowledge and vast experience as a civil litigator also serve him well in representing his divorce clientele who are burdened with complex business, real/personal property, monetary and/or contractual entanglements. In short, Jason’s acquired skills via his comprehensive legal practice, along with his consistent work ethic, fastidious attention to detail, zealous advocacy, understanding and empathetic nature, and decades of experience in the “legal trenches” provide his divorce clients with that sought-after edge in obtaining a successful outcome in their respective cases.
As an essential component of his thorough and developed divorce practice, Jason has honed his expertise in dividing up retirement plans via Qualified Domestic Relations Order (QDRO) over his 20 years of family law practice. Jason drafts all of the QDRO’s for the family law attorneys at Bosshard Parke LTD. Further, Jason has been hired by other law firms in the La Crosse area to draft and/or review proposed QDRO’s pursuant to both pending and completed divorce cases.
Jason has represented Bosshard Parke clients, including juveniles, at all levels of the criminal justice process, including all types of misdemeanor and felony level offenses.
In his spare time (when he is not working or raising two teenage sons with his wife of 20 years), Jason volunteers as the chairperson for the Duke University Alumni Admissions Advisory Committee for the western region of Wisconsin; in this capacity over the past 15 years, Jason interviews high school students applying for admission to his beloved alma mater, and serves as a liaison/ambassador for Duke University with both prospective applicants as well as with public and private high schools throughout western Wisconsin.
Jason has been recognized in 2017 as an AV Preeminent® rated attorney by Martindale-Hubbell® Peer Review Ratings™, the gold standard in attorney ratings. AV Preeminent is the highest possible attorney rating by the prestigious Martindale Hubbell Law Directory that can be conferred upon an attorney, an achievement earned by less than 5% of attorneys nationwide. An AV Preeminent rating reflects the confidential opinions of bar members and the judiciary, and attests to both Jason’s outstanding legal ability and steadfast adherence to professional standards of ethics. This significant accomplishment is a testament to the fact that Jason has earned the respect of his peers/adversaries who rank Jason at the highest possible level of professional excellence. As one of the select few attorneys nationwide with the AV Preeminent rating, Jason has practiced law for many years and at the highest level of skill and integrity.
