Jack Zoesch is a partner in the firm’s litigation group. His has litigated and served as trial counsel in cases involving complex business disputes, government contracting, breach of contract, intellectual property, business torts (including fraud and breach of fiduciary duty), shareholder disputes, non-competition and non-solicitation, products liability, and medical malpractice. He has authored numerous motions for summary judgment and appellate briefs in both state and federal courts.
Jack serves as manager of the firm’s government contracts practice group. He counsels and advises government contractors throughout northwest Florida and the Southeast. His work in this sector includes such matters as negotiation of teaming agreements and subcontracts, litigation between contractors, disputes with the government, and intellectual property issues. Jack has also defended against federal white collar criminal prosecutions of alleged defense contracting fraud and procurement violations. He frequently speaks and presents to local industry groups on pertinent issues to government contractors.
Jack also maintains an active intellectual property practice. He has litigated a variety of intellectual property claims, including trade secret misappropriation, trademark infringement, copyright infringement, patent infringement, and cybersquatting. He files trademark applications, helps businesses guard their confidential and proprietary information, and assists with the intellectual property aspects of transactions. During law school, Jack published a Comment in the Catholic University Law Review on the relationship between jazz arrangements and copyright law and worked as a summer associate and law clerk at Finnegan, a large intellectual property law firm in Washington, D.C.
Jack is AV peer-review rated for high ethical standards and preeminent legal ability in the Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory. For the last six years he has been recognized as a “Rising Star” by Florida Super Lawyers magazine, a designation awarded to no more than 2.5% of lawyers statewide.
