Jonathon S. Miller joined Wicker Smith in 2008 and is a partner in the Fort Lauderdale office. Mr. Miller earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California, Los Angeles in 2000, and went on to earn his Juris Doctor degree from Florida State University in 2003, graduating with honors. He is an "AV" Preeminent® rated attorney by Martindale-Hubbell, the highest rating awarded by that organization.
Upon graduating law school, Mr. Miller was privileged to complete a two-year appellate clerkship at the Fourth District Court of Appeal in West Palm Beach for the Honorable Mark E. Polen, who was Chief Judge at the time. There, he honed his finely polished legal research, writing and analytic skills and gained an inside view of the appellate process. Mr. Miller worked on over 100 appeals involving civil, criminal, probate and administrative matters.
Upon joining Wicker Smith, Mr. Miller has gained significant litigation and appellate experience. He practices in both the state and federal courts, focusing on premises and security liability, construction defects and liens laws, pharmacy negligence, discrimination claims, landlord-tenant law, condominium disputes and catastrophic personal injury lawsuits. Additionally, Mr. Miller has a thriving portion of his practice devoted to commercial and real estate litigation on behalf of Fortune 500 companies, national real estate developers and closely-held REITs. Most recently, he has also started representing fixed-base operators in general aviation matters, commercial transactions and aircraft liens and has also handled appeals in the First, Second, Third and Fourth Districts. Mr. Miller is adept at handling the gamut of discovery issues, and has taken hundreds of depositions and routinely drafts complex legal pleadings and memorandum of law. Additionally, he has also successfully argued countless dispositive and substantive legal issues at all stages of litigation.
Prior to joining Wicker Smith, Mr. Miller represented over 600 different condominium (residential, commercial and mixed-use), homeowners and cooperative associations throughout the State of Florida. He has extensive experience in all aspects of condominium operation and governance, including drafting governing documents, covenant enforcement, commercial transactions, developer-turnover, fair-housing issues, liens and foreclosures, elections, recalls, and dispute resolution through arbitration and mediation. Mr. Miller has even testified as an expert witness in this arena.
Mr. Miller is a member of the Broward and Palm Beach County Bar Associations.

He also has extensive experience in all aspects of the operation and governance of condominium and homeowner associations, and the resolution of disputes unique thereto.
