Lori is an experienced & accomplished Florida attorney with more than 25 years’ experience advocating for clients before Florida courts, regulatory bodies, agencies and elected policy makers ranging from local community council and special district members, County Commissions, the Florida Legislature and the Florida Cabinet.
After graduating first in her class at Baylor School of Law in 1994, clerking on the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, working her way up to equity partnership at the largest law firm in Florida and building her own premiere boutique Tallahassee lobbying firm, Lori decided her real calling was to fight for real people with real problems. In 2017, Lori made the decision to go back to her roots in the law – representing individuals and businesses with Florida roots.
With extensive knowledge of the Florida Constitution and its interrelation with complex statutory and regulatory schemes, Lori can spot legal issues decisively and accurately. As importantly, she uses her experience lobbying opinion makers and leaders to solve her client’s problem as quickly, cheaply and painlessly as possible.
Lori has fought tirelessly for children and has received awards and accolades from The Florida Bar, Lawyers for Children America, the American Bar Association and Holland & Knight for excellence in representing Florida’s most vulnerable.
Currently pursuing an LLM in Elder Law from Stetson University School of Law, she has attained national recognition in the field of Elder Law where she recently became a member of the editorial board of the National Academ of Elder Law Attorneys Law Journal.
She is active in her community serving on the Estate Planning Council of the Emerald Coast, the Fort Walton Beach Chamber of Commerce, the Board of Directors of Fresh Start for Women & Families of Okaloosa County, the Fellows of the American Bar Association, the Florida Bar Foundation and on multiple community boards and councils.
Her clients have included presidential campaigns, elected officials, political parties, counties, municipalities, multi-national corporations, high net worth individuals, labor unions, death penalty appellants, foster children, domestic violence victims, wounded warriors and other trauma survivors. Lori works to treat them all with the highest level of respect, compassion, commitment and competency.
