In the fall of 2012, Phillip headed the Juneau County Diversion Program, an intensive program dedicated to young, first-time offenders, giving them an opportunity to avoid a criminal conviction upon completion of the program. Growing up the son of a missionary, Phillip had the advantage of being able to travel overseas and spend time working at feeding centers and orphanages. Seeing these disadvantaged communities inspired Phillip to help others in need. He is working on expanding adoptions in Honduras to bring orphans into loving families.
