As a criminal defense lawyer I practice throughout Florida in State Courts and throughout the United States in Federal Courts.
My law partner Geoffrey R. Mason and I represent individuals in all types of Federal and State criminal defense cases, with emphasis on serious and complex criminal defense litigation.
I graduated from the University of Florida (Bachelor of Science with Honors, 1983), and from the University of Florida College of Law (Juris Doctor, 1986). I also obtained his Master of Arts in Sociology with Honors from the University of Florida in 1986
I am a former President of the Federal Bar Association for the Northern District of Florida, a former Member of the Board of Directors of the Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, a former President of the Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers for the Eighth Judicial Circuit chapter. I am an active member of the Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, the Eighth Judicial Circuit Bar Association, the Florida Bar Association, the Florida Bar Association Criminal Law Section, the Federal Bar Association, and the James C. Adkins Jr. American Inn of Court.
