Before traveling to the United States, you must first obtain a "nonimmigrant" or temporary visa. There are many types of temporary visas, which are organized by who is seeking them and for what reasons. The most commonly sought temporary visas are the B-1 (business), B-2 (vacation), E-2 (investor), F-1 (student) and H-1B (specialty worker). Below is the list of available temporary visas you can apply for to enter the United States:
