Oregon

Oregon is one of a few states whose changing drug crime laws have made national news recently. Though most of the attention has been on the Beaver State’s marijuana legalization, Oregon’s criminal code covers unlawful conduct ranging from your standard physical crimes like murder, arson, and robbery to complex criminal enterprises like conspiracy, credit card fraud, and computer crime. And while pot has been legalized, cocaine and heroin possession, manufacture, and trafficking remain prohibited under Oregon statutes. The state also has consumer protection laws that can prosecute identity theft, pyramid schemes, and even telemarketers.
