Petitioner is the state department charged with requlating the practice of nursing pursuant to Section 20.43, Florida Statutes; Chapter 456, Florida Statutes; and Chapter 464, Florida Statutes. 2. At all times material to this Complaint, Respondent was a Registered Nurse (R.N.) within the state of Florida, having been issued license number RN 3154592. r Department of Health v. Respondent's address of record is 1312 Robinhood Forest Drive, Pfafftown, North Carolina 27040. 4, On or about January 17, 2006, the North Carolina Board of Nursing accepted a Voluntary Surrender of Respondent's license to practice nursing in the state of North Carolina for failure to comply with drug treatment program. 5. The North Carolina Board of Nursing is the nursing licensing authority for the state of North Carolina. 6. Section 464.018(1)(b), Florida Statutes (2005), provides that having a license to practice acted against by the licensing authority of another state, constitutes grounds for disciplinary action by the Board of Nursing. 7. The North Carolina Board of Nursing acted against the Respondent's license by accepting a Voluntary Surrender of Respondent's license on January 17, 2006. 8. Based upon the foregoing, Respondent has violated Section 464.018(1)(b), Florida Statutes (2005), by having her license to practice acted against by the licensing authority of another state. NOTICE REGARDING ASSESSMENT OF COSTS Respondent is placed on notice that Petitioner has incurred costs related to the investigation and prosecution of this matter. Pursuant to Section 456.072(4), Florida Statutes, the Board shall assess costs related to the investigation and prosecution of a disciplinary matter, which may include attorney hours and costs, on the Respondent in addition to any other discipline imposed.
