ABATEMENT ORDER
PER CURIAM.
On November 17, 2016, appellee filed a motion to stay appellate proceedings because the legal issue underpinning the appeal — whether Texas law recognizes a cause of action for tortious interference with inheritance rights — is submitted currently for review in two separate cases pending before the Texas Supreme Court. See Jackson Walker, LLP v. Kinsel, No. 07-13-00130-CV, 2015 WL 2085220 (Tex. App.-Amarillo 2015, pet. granted) (mem. op.); Anderson v. Archer, 490 S.W.3d 175 (Tex. App.-Austin 2016, pet. filed).
Because the Supreme Court's decision on this issue is directly related to this court's treatment of the instant appeal, the motion is granted. Accordingly, we issue the following order.
The court ORDERS the appellate timetable in this case suspended for 90 days from the date of this order.
The appeal is ABATED, treated as a closed case, and removed from this court's active docket for a period of ninety days. The appeal will be reinstated on this court's active docket after ninety days. Any party may file a motion stating grounds for reinstating the appeal before the end of the ninety-day period.
