In July or August 1992, Respondent attended a surprise wedding shower given for S.D.L. At least two (2) of Respondent's : | . 1 other patients attended the shower. 5. During. or around the summer of 1992, the Respondent solicited §.D.L. to create a decorated cake for the Respondent's charity fund-raiser. 6. During or around September 1992, S.D.L. | became unemployed. 7. Thereafter Respondent indicated to S.D.L. that she would employ her as a full-time home health aide, pending $.D.L.'s “becoming qualified. 8. Respondent owned "Unlimited Health Care," a home health care agency. | , 9. $.D.L. was later employed by Unlimited Health Care as a | { home health aide. 10. During or around January 1993, Respondent terminated __S.D.L.'s employment with Unlimited Health Care. _ 11. Respondent admits that she did attend $.D.L.'s |wedding shower. a © 12. By. employing S$.D.L., attending her wedding | ‘shower, and/or utilizing her services to assist at the fund-raiser, Respondent has engaged in a "Qual relationship" with S.D.L. 13. "Dual relationships" are not acceptable within the practice of mental health counseling. 14. Based on the foregoing, the Respondent has violated Section 491.009 (2)(s), Florida Statutes, by failing to meet the minimum standards of performance in professional activities when measured against general prevailing peer performance. WHEREFORE, Petitioner respectfully requests that the Board of Clinical Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, and Health Counseling enter an ‘ORDER imposing one (1) or more Mental of the following penalties: revocation or suspension of the Respondent's license, restriction of the Respondent's practice, imposition of an administrative fine, issuance of a reprimand, placement of the Respondent on probation, and/or any other relief that th fi deems appropriate.
